The Best Kind Of Bonding: Daddy Son Workouts

So, Karen was nice enough to let me come and workout during the Father’s Day workout challenge.  Mostly because my schedule is crazy, but also because I wanted to see the challenge in action.

How good of an idea is this: dad and son teams come to workout and then have a scavenger hunt around the gym.  Each team was given a card with a riddle on it like: “Do 20 reps on a machine that has the word perfect on it” (Perfect Pushups).  Then the teams race around solving the puzzle, working out and bonding.

I love this.  It was so cute (I mean manly and buff) to see them running around the gym asking, “we need something sharp, where is something sharp!!!?”

I also was able to work out a little bit with a partner and found this super fun.  Usually it is just me complaining that an exercise is too hard, but this time we got to double up on Karen, “ohhh, Karen, how many more? How many more?”

Anyway, now it is my mission to get someone else workout with me.  Happy Father’s Day, keep working out!
