Billy and Sean running along the beachSo last night we had a great time at the K-Swiss run.  It was great to be able to team up with K-Swiss and the LA Run Club.  Highlight of the night had to be the end sprint match between Billy and Sean.  Age won that time (Sean), but I would like to see a rematch.  Look forward to some more O2 MAX free workouts, will post them on our blog and/or social media web sites.  Also look out for O2 MAX Fitness latest line coming soon! SANTA MONICA, CA – August 13 2010

Youth Fitness Catalyst O2 MAX, Celebrity Trainers  & Nickelodeon’s Daniella Monet join forces to raise awareness on youth fitness

On Saturday August 14, 2010 an army of green clad fitness oriented people will gather at Colorado and Ocean to begin a 6 mile interactive walk wearing Accusplit pedometers promoting youth fitness. They will yoga, lunge, eat, sweat and dance their way through town with the help of sponsors and fitness celebrities!

With today’s kids being called the “least physically active” generation to date, KooDooZ Corporation and O2 MAX Fitness, Inc. are asking families to take ownership of the childhood obesity epidemic with their participation in the third annual Tour de Fitness (TDF). T-Shirt Sales will also go to benefit the local SOS campaign benefiting the SMMUSD Education Foundation.

Presented by Accusplit and hosted by Nickelodeon’s Victorious starlet, Daniella Monet, TDF is an interactive city-walk which serves to educate participants on the many actions they can take to be healthy, fit and well. “Daniella is a welcome addition to this event,” said Karen Jashinsky, founder of O2 MAX Fitness. “Her participation will reinforce how important bringing innovative hands-on nutrition and fitness curriculum is to young children.” Daniella recently volunteered at the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Teaching Garden event for a day of service to teach students how a few small changes in diet and exercise can make life-saving differences.

“We are equally excited to announce the partnership with The City of Santa Monica’s Buy Local program, the Bayside District and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce,” said Lee Fox, founder of KooDooZ, a cause-based social networking site for kids. “Community partnerships are so important especially when you’re asking families to adopt positive behavioral and social change.” This year’s Tour De Fitness is part of a Passport to Wellness designed to raise awareness of the economic and environmental benefits of choosing local first.

The day begins at 9 AM with walkers wearing Accusplit pedometers and will begin with Yoga at Colorado and Ocean Ave. by the Santa Monica Pier, followed by Stroller Strides Workout! , Scavenger Hunt (Farmer’s Market), Derby Girl Work Out (Reed Park, 7th and California Ave), Whole Foods Lunch with special activities hosted by Murad and EcoUsable! Autographs with Daniella Monet (Santa Monica Public Library), Dion Jackson Pumps It Up (Colorado and Ocean Ave. by the Pier), Stamina w/ Accusplit and meet Mr. Pedometer! (Colorado and Ocean Ave. by the Pier), Mahatma’s “Spin the Wheel” Extravaganza!,  Dance w/ Ilyse Baker (K-Swiss on Main St.), Wrap w/ Natasha Kufa (K-Swiss on Main St.)

Brand sponsors Accusplit, Murad, Cabo Chips, K-Swiss, EcoUsable, Dance Doctor, Natural High Lifestyle, United Studios of Self Defense, Accusplit, PAINT:LAB and NAPSAC will also afford participants new health experiences.
