Don’t Forget The Cool Down.

We all know the importance of warming up. Thats why most of of jump on the treadmill for at least 5 min, it gets our heart rate up, warms up our body and get blood flowing to all the body parts that we are going to work. But how many of us really cool down?

Warming up is important not only for resistance training but every activity you do. I know when I head out for a run it takes me at least 10 to 15min to get in the groove of running. Now when you are done with that workout, don’t forget to cool down. It seems easy to just finish that run, or be done weight training after that last set, but your body needs time to go back the the original state. Take a few minutes and stretch, turn that jog into a walk and let your body Cool down! If you don’t cool your body down, it’s just like slamming on the breaks in your car.
