It was a day filled with fun and fitness. The first annual Tour de Fitness was a wonderful day! Beginning at ten o’clock on the Santa Monica Stairs and finishing at the Third Street Promenade, I enjoyed each venture the group took! I would say the highlight was doing yoga at Lululemon. It was great to stretch out after a long day of walking. I can also honestly say that I enjoyed the Subway lunch more than any meal I have had in a long time. It was so refreshing and energy-boosting to eat after walking that far. It was also fun to let people know what we were up to, telling them what O2 MAX is and why teen fitness is important. I was so tired after the long day of working out that I ended up sitting on the couch watching mindless television…it was awesome!
Hopefully we will be seeing you all at next year’s Tour de Fitness!
Hooray for a successful time!

I usually don’t participate in all day work out events, but Tour de Fitness was different. Through my internship with O2 Max, I participated in the guerrilla marketing campaign with 20+ other kids. The walk throughout Santa Monica started in the Santa Monica Headquarters, where we headed for the Santa Monica Stairs. There, we stepped up and down the steep and long stairs(I did it three times). It was our first event, but the most tiring.
We then headed down to 26th and Montana, where we traveled in masses, trying best to tell others about the gym. At the ‘Top to Top’ store in Wilshire and 26th, we refueled with cold water and energy bars. Even after these events, we walked to the 3rd street promenade and did stretches and yoga on the sidewalks. I’ve never been part of such a scheme before, but it was worth while because of all the attention we received. The day lasted around eight hours and I got a red sunburn. All the energy I had to put into this made me enervated. Nevertheless, I feel refreshed and fit. And at the end of the day, isn’t that all that matters?

Tour-de-Fitness was excellent, i felt so lean afterward, it inspired me to go to the stairs more often.

“It was definitely a walk to remember, full of energy, excitement, sweat, and smiles.” -Arianna
It was dope. I had lots and lots of fun. I enjoyed the walk around Santa Monica because I don’t get out much. What could have been better was the actual fitness stops. I honestly think that O2MAX could have pushed us harder. All in all it was a memorial experince that other teenagers should experince. -Ryan Dyson
“A fun filled, community-interactive event, and a great way to get the word out about O2!” -Jay Lytton
